They deploy an army of industry veterans, from junior through C-level, both moonlighting and employed, for project-based consulting on demand, and the company earns a portion of each engagement.

WOW! Real Capital Markets (RCM) is the real deal! It’s one of those companies I didn’t really know well, and I should have. They are doing big business with over 300,000 customers to date who have used the platform to generate over $1.8 trillion in transactions on line. Yes, that’s a TRILLION!!! And according to stats I saw, over 50% of all U.S. commercial assets sold, over $10 million, are brought to market using Real Capital Markets’ online marketplace annually.
Keith has been in the commercial real estate industry his whole life. He grew up in the industry through his family’s business and then started investing while in college and has been active ever since. He started his real estate journey in 2000 in the brokerage, property management and development sectors, as well as a being a tenant – he has basically touched all aspects in the CRE process! Not many people can say that they that kind of in depth knowledge and experience in the entire process which also give Keith a unique view on the industry.
Connected recently with Inayat, a very successful software developer, who has built a really smart deal tracking tool for investment sales and leasing professionals. Dealius.com is a one stop shop for brokers to monitor all of their deals in their pipeline and collaborate and communicate with their internal teams.
Courtesy of my friend Mark Kennedy, I had the pleasure of connecting with Elizabeth who has a really smart new technology called CoWorkr. The site grew out of her passion for sustainability and smart design. CoWorkr's core product uses bluetooth sensors to collect data on workplace activity and help companies assess the efficiency of their real-estate portfolio.
It's amazing how much innovation is taking place in the CRE tech sector. Not just in the U.S. but increasingly internationally. At CRE // Tech, while the bulk of our operation is in the States, we do keep our eye on and track prop tech around the world.
I can’t believe it took me this long to connect with one of the most important people in real estate tech…Steve Weikal! As head of Industry and Alumni Relations at the MIT Center for Real Estate, Steve and his team are on the leading edge of all things tech in the real estate sector.
