As EY Global Real Estate, Hospitality & Construction Leader, Mark coordinates the efforts of 15,000 professionals around the world who serve more than 6,000 clients. Mark has three decades of real estate industry experience and previously led Real Estate, Hospitality & Construction in the US Central region and EY Global Real Estate Private Equity. His prior roles include lead audit partner for real estate funds, Americas Transaction Real Estate Practice Leader, and Asia Real Estate Practice Managing Partner. Mark is a licensed CPA in NY and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has co-authored The Guide to Distress Debt and Turnaround Investing and our annual report, Global market outlook: trends in real estate private equity. He frequently speaks at key industry events. Mark received his BA in Economics and Accounting from Claremont McKenna College.

Minta Kay is Chair of Goodwin’s Global Real Estate Industry Group and Co-Chair of the firm’s PropTech practice. She leads an elite group of lawyers that focus on public companies, transactions and real estate fund formation across the globe. Her practice involves the representation of institutional investors, tax-exempts, real estate funds and owner/operators in connection with all aspects of their real estate investment transactions, and she has extensive experience in representing investors in complex joint venture and limited partnership transactions to acquire or develop properties. Minta has expertise in the areas of commercial real estate loan and equity investment restructuring, actively representing financial institutions, borrowers and partners in the modification of limited partnership and joint venture investments and loans.

As Co-Chair of Goodwin’s PropTech practice, one of the first of its kind within the U.S. legal field, Minta is focused on driving strategy across Goodwin’s real estate and technology groups to effectively support clients involved in the booming subsector. Her keen understanding in the importance of connecting real estate and technology, paired with her collaborative nature, has allowed her to coordinate fruitful introductions between investors, start-ups, companies and thought leaders within the space. Minta is also a member of the CREtech Leadership Board and the Urban Land Institute’s Global Exchange Council.
