The Sendero Verde development in East Harlem is now the largest certified Passive House building in the U.S., showcasing how affordable housing can also lead the way in energy efficiency. With 709 units, this complex significantly reduces energy consumption through advanced insulation, sealing, and ventilation, offering residents like Phoebe Saldana a comfortable and quiet living environment. Beyond its green credentials, Sendero Verde also provides community amenities and services, setting a new standard for sustainable urban living while addressing both housing and climate crises.
