Company races ahead with strategic hiring including CTO Jim Butler, former CTO and architect of Global Supply Platforms for Verizon Media, to catalyze the company’s tenant experience platform vision
Boston, MA – Wednesday, September 11, 2019 – HqO, a tenant experience (TeX) software and services company for commercial real estate, today announced new strategic real estate investment partners.
The Bulfinch Companies, GZ Real Estate Partners, Intercontinental Real Estate Corp., and Jiaming Investment America join a prominent list of commercial real estate companies, venture capital funds, and individual investors backing the company. HqO previously announced a full list of investors during its $6M round in June, bringing its total funding amount to $19M. The company has established itself as the fastest growing within tenant experience after surpassing 53 million square feet of commercial office space in less than 2 years of operation.
HqO also announced today that Dr. Jim Butler joined its executive team as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Dr. Butler is responsible for driving the company’s technology strategy. Under his leadership, HqO’s technology team will continue developing the world’s leading, highly-scalable tenant experience platform, which supports the commercial real estate industry’s most critical product and service integrations.
Prior to HqO, Dr. Butler was CTO of Global Supply Platforms for Verizon Media, where he led the architecture and consolidation of media exchanges from the merger of AOL and Yahoo under Verizon, formerly known as Oath.

Along with new office openings in London and Paris, other recent staff additions aimed at delivering the best tenant experience in commercial real estate include:
- Manish Barmecha, as Vice President of Product, is responsible for product strategy, product management, and design. Barmecha is a product leader with a track record of scaling SaaS companies to successful outcomes. Most recently, as an executive at WordStream, he helped scale the company from $5M to $50M.
- John Bosch, as Director of Tenant Experience, is responsible for driving net growth from existing customers by helping them achieve their desired outcomes. Bosch is a software industry veteran and was most recently the Director of Customer Success at Rapid7, an industry-leading cybersecurity solutions provider.
- Kate Milson, as General Manager of HqO New York City, leads HqO’s expansion into the NYC market. Previously, Milson led HqO’s Tenant Experience team and advised key clients on their tenant experience strategies.
- Ruben Sanchez, as Director of Marketing at HqO, leads digital, brand, event, demand generation, and product marketing efforts. Prior to HqO, Sanchez was Senior Director of Marketing at Skyword Inc. where he helped develop and execute strategies for growing the company’s enterprise customer base.
