Lego Group is set to relocate its London headquarters to 76 Southbank SE1, a prominent riverside building formerly occupied by IBM and now owned by Stanhope. The company has signed a lease for 192,000 square feet across three and a half floors, with plans to house up to 1,500 employees at the site starting in 2027.
This move marks a significant expansion for Lego in the capital, where its headcount has tripled to 1,100 since opening its initial London hub in 2014 at New Fetter Lane. The new space is located within a brutalist six-story building, which has seen a wave of recent leasing activity, including PayPal’s 40,000-square-foot lease on the fifth floor at a reported rent of £95 per square foot.
Only the first and part of the fourth floor remain available in the 300,000-square-foot building, which includes over 5,000 square feet of terrace space. Lego’s move strengthens Southbank’s growing appeal to major corporate occupiers, joining other recent tenants like Allfunds, Workplace Futures Group, and Flight Centre, as the SE1 office submarket continues to gain momentum.
