Bilt has appointed multifamily operations leader Margette Hepfner as its new Executive Director of Resident Loyalty, effective August 1, 2025. With over 20 years of experience in the multifamily industry, Hepfner previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Residential Management at Willow Bridge Property Company, where she oversaw daily operations for more than 227,000 apartment units and 5,000 employees. In her new role at Bilt, she will be responsible for driving adoption of the company’s Resident Loyalty 2.0 platform—a solution designed to help property owners and operators boost resident engagement, accelerate leasing decisions, and realize cost savings of up to 20%.
Hepfner brings both operational expertise and first-hand experience with the platform, having implemented Bilt at Willow Bridge. She emphasized how Bilt transforms the resident relationship from a transactional exchange to a community-focused ecosystem that includes everyday lifestyle benefits like coffee shops, fitness studios, and local retailers. The platform currently partners with over 50,000 merchants, including Walgreens, national travel providers, and neighborhood businesses, and provides advanced analytics to help property managers optimize engagement and retention.
At Bilt, Hepfner will guide real estate partners through the platform transition, reshaping legacy leasing incentives into data-informed, experience-driven loyalty programs. Company leaders, including CEO Ankur Jain and Chief Business Officer David Wyler, cited her proven ability to scale initiatives across large portfolios and her deep understanding of what drives resident satisfaction as key reasons for the appointment.
Her appointment also signals Bilt’s continued growth and strategic investment in strengthening its service to the multifamily sector, where it is already partnered with 70% of the nation’s top property managers. Hepfner is a long-time industry leader, serving on committees for both the National Multi-Housing Council and the National Apartment Association. She holds an MBA from Southern Methodist University and a BS in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas.
