Q&A: RealMassive CEO Discusses Project Atlas

RealMassive, the first source for real-time commercial real estate information, has just unveiled their new addition called Project Atlas. We had a chance to chat with CEO, Craig Hancock, about the new project and why CRE professionals should check it out today.  

Q: Tell us about Project Atlas; what is it?

A: Project Atlas is a mapping platform that combines RealMassive data and third-party data to visually analyze and research market opportunities. Users are able to create animated heat maps of their data to see risk occurring over time in a market, sub-market, or building.

Q: How did Project Atlas come to fruition?

A: As our product owner Mark Daniel met with researchers working for developers, investors, and banks, he saw a recurring theme...lots of data but no single place to bring it all together that was both easy and intuitive. Existing platforms were not at all effective at managing and displaying data from disparate sources. In particular, the incumbent mapping platforms were not particularly friendly to commercial real estate researchers. It became obvious that there was a real need for an easy to use yet powerful tool for visualizing risk and opportunities in the market.

Q: Why do CRE professionals need Project Atlas?

A: Anyone who buys, sells, builds, or funds a commercial real estate venture will find Project Atlas to be the premier tool for making the data they already have in-house, the data they purchase, and the data we provide much more valuable than it is today. In short, it allows our customers to do their jobs more efficiently, quickly assessing opportunities and risks, increasing deal volume and the effectiveness of their research efforts.
