Our team at CREtech recently caught up with Fadule to learn more about his role and his vision for the commercial real estate tech sector.

What were you doing prior to your current role and why did you decide to enter the commercial real estate tech industry?

Mollie Fadule: I have been in real estate private equity for the majority of my career. I am also focusing time in the real estate technology space given the massive opportunity to advance the industry through technology. All other major sectors have undergone radical transformation with their own technology revolutions. Now is the time for real estate to catch-up.

Describe your role at your company and what your day-to-day looks like?

MF: I have many different roles and responsibilities from traditional RE private equity acquisitions, asset management and dispositions to managing teams to investing in companies in the RE technology space and working with companies trying to tackle the affordable housing crisis. I am on numerous boards and an adviser to various companies.

What are you most excited about that your company is currently doing in the commercial real estate tech sector?

MF: Investing in companies that are bringing our sector out of the dark ages. I am excited about the efforts of companies that I am working with which are contributing to advancements that the CRE world needs.

What is the most important trend you are paying attention to today in commercial real estate tech?

MF: Data availability and ability to analyze diverse data sets to drive investment and policy making decisions.

What startups are you particularly excited about?

MF: Too many to count. But particularly the companies I have invested in and support.
