I had a great chat with Mike recently who heads JLL’s tech initiatives. We spoke about JLL’s plans to continue to invest in new startups and solutions for their professionals. Mike and I had a good conversation about where he thinks we are in the CRE tech sector and what he thinks the future holds for the industry. It was really interesting to get the perspective of someone who is on the inside of one of the world's leading brokerage firms and to really try and understand their view of how technology will impact the industry and to hear some of JLL's plans to position themselves as a leading-edge real estate services company with technology at the cornerstone of much of their operations. Fascinating stuff. I have written a lot about how I think the brokerage firms like JLL will be the ones to really drive innovation in the commercial real estate sector and Mike absolutely confirmed this notion.
