Commercial Tenant Engagement Leader, Equiem, Appoints Richard Morell Executive Vice President of Business Development for North America
Seasoned Sales and Management Professional to Lead Proptech Firm’s U.S. and Canadian Growth Strategy
NEW YORK, NY – Nov. 7, 2018 – Equiem, the global leader in tenant engagement solutions for commercial real estate, today announced the appointment of Richard Morell as the firm’s Executive Vice President of Business Development for North America. Mr. Morell, who will be based in Equiem’s Manhattan office, will build and lead a team of business development and customer service professionals as Equiem continues to expand its operations across the United States, Canada, the U.K. and Asia.

A seasoned management and sales professional with over two decades of real estate and business development experience, Mr. Morell was previously Head of Business Development for Equiem’s Australian operations from 2013-2014. He has also held leadership positions with design firm, Five at Heart and also founded and continues to own The House at Smoko, a luxury vacation retreat in Victoria, Australia.

As Executive Vice President for Business Development, Morell’s responsibilities will include working closely with landlords to develop custom tenant engagement solutions, representingEquiem at key commercial real estate events and shaping and executing on Equiem’s business development goals. Morell will also build and mentor a team of business development and customer service specialists. Equiem currently has open roles for a Business Development Associate as well as a Customer Service Manager – both positions to be based in Equiem’s Manhattan office.
Mr. Morell earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing & Human Resource Management from Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia. He has also studied executive leadership development at The Executive Connection, a business mentoring and coaching company, also located in Melbourne, Australia.
