Just announced speakers include:

Juliette Morgan, ESG Consultancy Director, Gensler

With over 20 years of experience in property development, asset management, and sustainability leadership, Juliette is an ESG specialist in commercial real estate, in the UK and US. Juliette has focused on environments for technology/lifesciences and R&D companies in clusters, including Cambridge, London, and New York. More recently, she has specialized in sustainable development and reporting for a large UK REIT and leads global ESG consulting within the Climate Action and Sustainability practice.

Juliette has researched the application of laminated timber and laminated bamboo in commercial scales and holds a qualification in sustainability management from Cambridge University. She has been client side in achieving net zero on a London office building, having crafted net zero and offset strategies for the developer. Her advice is creative, competitive, and anchored in commercial deliverability and market positioning.

Hanif Kara, Design Director & Co-Founder, AKT II

Professor Hanif Kara is a structural engineer and educator. He grew up in Uganda, arriving in the UK as a refugee in the 1970s, and in 2022 has received the OBE for his services to architecture, engineering and education. He’s a co-founder and design director of the ‘interdisciplinary’ engineering practice AKT II, which today unites 300+ people through projects across 50+ countries; Hanif has driven the firm’s pioneering ‘design-led’ ethos. He’s also a professor-in-practice with the Harvard GSD, having previously taught with London’s Architectural Association as well as for other avant-garde design schools throughout Europe. And he routinely serves as an advisor for organisations ranging from the Mayor of London’s office, and the UK’s Design Council, to the global Aga Khan Development Network. Hanif’s further recognitions include the CTBUH 2022 ‘Fazlur R Khan’ Lifetime Achievement Medal, as well as the London Design Festival 2023 London Design Medal.

Ed Parsons, Geospatial Technologist, Google

Ed is a board level technology exec, specialist in geospatial and location based systems. He has public and private sector expertise with an academic background.

Ed Parsons is the Geospatial Technologist of Google, with responsibility for evangelising Google’s mission to organise the world’s information using geography, and tools including Google Earth, Google Maps and Google Maps for Mobile. In his role he also maintains links with Universities, Research and Standards Organisations which are involved in the development of Geospatial Technology.

Ed was the first Chief Technology Officer in the 200-year-old history of Ordnance Survey, and was instrumental in moving the focus of the organisation from mapping to Geographical Information. Specialties include: Geospatial data, Enterprise GIS, Research, Remote Sensing.
