The £200 million office retrofit at 65 Gresham Street is set to be one of the largest building reuse projects in London's Square Mile. The mixed-use scheme will preserve 70% of the existing building, adding four new top floors to reach 12 stories and increase space from 270,000 sq ft to 410,000 sq ft. The project includes public realm improvements, new retail outlets, and sustainable office space. Approved by the City Corporation’s planning team, the retrofit represents a notable achievement in 2023, demonstrating a strong track record in planning applications. The client team involves architects Squire and Partners, QS Alinea, structural engineer Buro Happold, and services engineer Atelier Ten, with Caterham-based contractor KpH Deconstruction advising on preplanning demolition.
