Workplace design startup Saltmine seeking key hires for VP Customer Success and East Coast Sales Director
SAN FRANCISCO, June 22, 2018 — Saltmine today announced that it is looking to hire two critical new senior sales roles. The first role – VP of Customer Success – will lead all customer-facing teams and will be based out of San Francisco. The second role is an East Coast Sales Director based out of NYC.
Saltmine is a San Francisco-based startup reimagining and rebuilding the entire process through which workspace is designed from concept through costing to procurement in one integrated cloud platform. The company empowers businesses of any size, as well as their design partners and real estate service providers, to deliver more inspiring and efficient space, faster and cheaper. The company has roughly 25 employees and growing, including top talent from industry leaders in tech, real estate and design: Google, Salesforce, Autodesk, JLL and Gensler.
We are looking for our first senior sales executive to lead Saltmine’s Customer Success team. You will report to our CEO where you’ll lead our customer-facing teams to ensure our clients are both stark raving fans of Saltmine and getting maximum value from our platform. Your role will be absolutely vital to our success.
You will set the tone for the company around an obsession for disrupting the traditional, broken process of workplace design and build, and you’ll be heavily involved in shaping our company and product strategy to make us the undisputed technology leaders in the field.
The ideal candidate will be a significant thought leader in the design industry, with deep relationships among corporate real estate executives and a forward thinking, disruptive mindset around technological change. Ideally you’ll bring 10-15+ years in architecture and design, 5+ years leading and scaling teams in a high growth environment, and 3+ years selling complex SaaS solutions to major enterprises.
We are looking for our first East Coast Sales Director based out of NYC to focus on our biggest, most strategic clients. As one of our first sales hires, you would play a critical role in directly prospecting and winning Global and Enterprise clients. As an early employee, you’d also have the opportunity to help shape our company’s strategy and product as well as set the tone for Saltmine’s culture.
The ideal candidate is a superstar sales executive with 6+ years selling complex solutions to major enterprises. Experience in the real estate sector and a network with key real estate executives is a plus. Strong preference for candidates who have sold technology and especially SaaS in an ROI-centric manner. Please note this is an individual contributor role, not a management role, though you will have an opportunity to have major impact beyond your core role.
