INTRODUCING COMPASS QUARTERLY MAGAZINE

INTRODUCING COMPASS QUARTERLY MAGAZINE National Tech-Driven Real Estate Platform Launches Debut Issue of Real Estate & Design Publication   FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE   NEW YORK, NY — November 20, 2015 — Compass, a national tech-driven real estate platform, announces the inaugural issue of Compass Quarterly magazine. Created in-house under the direction of Compass Editorial Director Amy Perry, a Condé Nast veteran and New York Times best-selling author of Kate Spade New York: All In Good Taste, Compass Quarterly focuses on the many facets of design with curated lifestyle content, luxe listings from across the nation, and profiles on a bevy of talented Compass agents.   “With our first issue of Compass Quarterly, we explored the many layers of design as a tactile, visual, and even emotional complement to the economic aspects of real estate,” said Ms. Perry.  “Our Compass agents are the real stars of the magazine, and it was a perfect forum to showcase their expertise on a wide range of subjects. The market is saturated with glossy lifestyle magazines; we hope this first issue gives readers something different on which to reflect.”   Compass Quarterly opens with several pages devoted to profiles of Compass agents and how their unique design backgrounds inform their real estate careers. Additional features include a dive into the innovative Boston architecture scene, a visual exploration of Brooklyn’s creative renaissance with commentary by borough experts/agents, the exploding tech scene in Miami, and a custom map of Washington DC’s urban evolution over the past 225 years. The written content is seamlessly interspersed with beautiful imagery of Compass’ luxurious listings from across its various markets.   Contributors include nationally acclaimed illustrator Evgeny Parfenov, whose works have appeared in The New Yorker and Wired; architectural journalist David Sokol, a regular contributor to Architectural Record and The Wall Street Journal; tech writer and Forbes contributor Seth Porges; freelance style editor Liz Wallace of Vogue, WSJ magazine, and Refinery29.com; architecture and design illustrator Saskia Rasink; and photographer Andrew Ingalls, who’s shot for Garden Design, Martha Stewart Living, and New York.   The magazine also features contributions from Compass marketing staffers with previous experience at Pixar, J. Walter Thompson, Men’s Health, Patch.com, Droga 5, L’Oreal, Twitter, and Warner Music Group.   The magazine will be distributed with the 11/20 edition of The New York Times in Manhattan and Brooklyn and available at all Compass offices throughout New York City, Washington DC, Miami, Boston, the Hamptons, and Los Angeles. A digital complement will be published on the emerging online platform Medium and compass.com/quarterly.   Compass Quarterly is one of many recent achievements for the growing firm which include:   ●       The doubling of its sales volume in exclusive listings, which now tops $1 billion ●       Reaching more than $2.5 billion in its new development pipeline ●       The increase of its agent population by more than 100% this year alone ●       Raising $125 million in investor funding, more than any other residential brokerage   Launched in 2013 in New York, Compass also began its national expansion this year, opening offices in Washington, DC, Miami, Boston, Los Angeles, and the Hamptons.
